When it comes to learning, there is no uniform solution for organisations. Learning is specifically designed to cater to the requirements of your business needs. We design custom e-learning modules using core elements of learning, such as clearly defined objectives, a well-designed course, check your understanding and assessments, a summary of key points and a well-structured menu for easy navigation. As customised courses allow flexibility, it is easier to add, update or remove features in the future based on your requirements. Our instructional designers use their immense experience in online course development that provides a meaningful learning experience. They make use of compelling scenarios, creative simulations and interactive features to keep the learners engaged.
We develop e-learning modules across four levels. While we have outlined the standard elements of each level, these can be customised as per a client’s requirements. For more details on the kind of interactivities and additional features that we can provide, do connect with us.
Level 1
This is a simple page-turner kind of module. No storyboarding is done and the module is directly developed. At this level, no audio is included. The screen has comparatively more text and 20 images or infographics are included per 60 minutes. Minimal interactivity in the form of tabs and pop-ups is included. The course will have simple backwards-forward navigation based on the standard course shell. The shell will include the company logo. Maximum 5 assessments will be provided with feedback; however, no scoring will be done.
Level 2
This includes an interactive module with audio that is verbatim as screen text. Course shell with branding and a uniform colour scheme will be included. This level also includes a splash screen animation for the introduction and more text and image animation on-screen to make the course less text-heavy. Client-provided videos are also included in this level. Maximum 10 assessments will be provided with feedback and scoring.
Level 3
This includes a higher level of interactivity with audio that is customised based on the requirement (not verbatim as screen text). Course shell with branding and a uniform colour scheme will be included. At this level, scenario-based learning and restriction-based navigation is also included. Along with a splash screen animation for the introduction, one more basic animation can be included in the module. Client-provided videos are also included at this level. Maximum 10 assessments will be provided with feedback and scoring. At this level, we can customise the questions to appear randomly each time the module is attempted. The assessments can include scenario-based questions.
Level 4
Along with higher level of interactivity and audio that is customised based on the requirement (not verbatim as screen text), learning is promoted through small animated videos. Course shell with branding, uniform colour scheme and customised menu will be included. At this level, scenario-based learning and restriction-based navigation is also included. Along with a splash screen animation for the introduction, two more animation videos can be included in the module along with client-provided videos. Simulations and game-based learning is incorporated to engage the learner. Maximum 10 assessments will be provided with feedback and scoring. At this level, we can customise the questions to appear randomly each time the module is attempted. The assessments can include scenario-based questions.
Are you facing difficulties in gaining your learner’s attention? We can help you customise your content. In custom e-learning, there are many techniques that can be used for developing good engaging content.
-
Storyboarding
-
A storyboard is the foundation of any e-learning course. It is important to have an effective storyboard developed before proceeding with the development of the course.
A storyboard is a visual plan of the actual course. Choosing the appropriate interactivity is what makes e-learning interesting. Based on your budget and timeline, we can design courses that suit your learning requirements.
Our instructional designers (IDs) curate your content and create the best designs and layout for each piece of content to produce engaging storyboards. While storyboarding, our IDs also pay close attention to the flow of content and elements on the screen. They develop storyboards keeping in mind the features of the final development tools, such as Adobe Captivate and Articulate 360. A voice-over script is also generated while delivering the storyboard in MS Word or PowerPoint format.
-
Voice Over
-
One of the most appealing elements of an e-learning solution or module is the voice behind it. An interesting voice makes it more intriguing and grabs attention. At Stylus, we connect with male and female voice-over artists across the globe, thus providing you with voiceovers in multiple languages and accents to suit your requirements. Once the script is recorded, the audio is edited and cleaned to ensure that it meets your quality standards. Our team ensures that the voice-over is thoroughly checked in sync with the script for pronunciation, tonality, emphasis and speech to ensure quality before delivering the module.
-
Scenario-based learning
-
Reading theory over and over might get a little monotonous or boring. Scenario-based learning helps learners connect this theory with real-life situations. Using this methodology, complex concepts can be broken down to make them easier for learners to comprehend. Stylus creates relevant real-life scenarios to engage learners and increase their ability to handle situations practically. This type of learning helps learners develop decision-making and problem-solving skills. Some benefits of scenario-based learning include increased knowledge retention, learner engagement and confidence.
-
Gamification
-
Learning should be interesting and motivating. gamification helps learners understand the concept and retain the information. A gamification solution aims to encourage the learners through the course and take away important concepts that can be applied elsewhere. Adding achievements, characters, competition, animation, interaction and prizes, boost engagement and improve learning outcomes. The more visually compelling the graphics are, the more fun it is to learn and grasp the information. Our designing team applies gaming elements to the right game-based solution according to your needs.
-
Simulation
-
At Stylus, we create simulation-based learning to provide learners with a real-life experience within a virtual environment. Simulations are ideal when dealing with high-risk or extremely complicated procedures. This type of learning enables a hands-on experience as learners can perform the procedures and make decisions that will benefit them in real life. Simulations allow learners to learn while making mistakes, without causing any real harm or damage. This gives them confidence and courage to perform the procedures in real life. Whether you want to include simulations in your new e-learning module or to add them to an existing module, Stylus will take care of your requirements.

Interactive and Attractive Screen Layouts
-
While developing an e-learning module, it is important to incorporate appropriate features for interactivity to remain in sync with the content. To display the content more presentably, using the right set of images and infographics is crucial. Based on the type of content, it will need to be represented differently. Depending on the nature of your content, our creative team suggests the most ideal features that can be used. The different types of interactivity that we offer include click-to-reveal screens, tab screens, pop-up screens, slider screens, drag and drop, roll-over effect, hot-spots, accordion and carousel among others.
Our IDs also visualise the most precise format to present your data, which can include content in the form of text, significant points, and images with labels, infographics, tables, and many more. This makes it easier for the learner to go through the content without it seeming overwhelming and makes learning interesting.
Stylus Solutions Pvt. Ltd. will be happy to assist you with regard to creating new e-learning solutions, updating previously created modules and any other e-learning content development needs.
